Dozent
Audio tours for the places you walk through.
Put your headphones on, start walking, and hear about what is actually in front of you — triggered by where you are, not by a page you have to scroll.
How it works
- Find a tour near you. Browse a map of tours in the city you are in, or search for a place.
- Walk. On a multi-stop tour, each stop's audio begins on its own as you arrive. There is nothing to tap.
- Download before you go. Saved tours play offline, so they work without signal or roaming data.
- Listen together. Walking with friends? One phone leads and the others stay in sync, over the local network — no internet needed.
Anyone can make one
Dozent is two-sided. You can listen on somebody else's walk, and you can record your own: pin the stops on a map, record the narration in the app, add photographs, and publish. Tours can be free or paid, and creators set their own prices and keep the majority of each sale.
Every tour is reviewed by a person before it appears, against our Acceptable Use Policy.
What Dozent does not do
- No advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking.
- Your location is used on your device and is never transmitted to us.
- You can browse and listen without ever making an account.
Status. Dozent is in its final review with the App Store and is not yet publicly available. The catalogue currently holds around 1,350 tours across 30 cities. For launch news or press enquiries, write to us at the address below.
